  1. If we can benefit someone without harming others, we ought to.
  2. Removing Baby Theresa's organs and transplanting them would benefit other babies without harming Baby Theresa.
  3. Baby Theresa's organs ought to have been removed and transplanted.

The Wrongness of Killing Argument (from Rachels)

  1. It is wrong to kill one person to save another.
  2. Removing Baby Theresa's organs and transplanting them would have involved killing one person to save another.
  3. It would have been wrong to remove Baby Theresa's organs and transplant them.

2 Key features of morality -

  1. Rationality : The right thing to do is the one supported by the best reasons.
  2. Impartiality : Considering the interests of everyone involved without being biased or prejudice. or NOT giving preference to a group or individual without a good reason.
